Overview

Jacob Marco is a Philadelphia-based international trade and national security attorney. He represents clients in a wide range of corporate, transactional and regulatory matters, and focuses his work on economic sanctions, export controls, foreign investment reviews, including those related to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and anti-money laundering and counterterrorism matters.

Mr. Marco helps clients navigate the increasingly complex landscape of U.S. national security regulations, including by structuring transactions and business relationships, conducting diligence and assessing risk, and securing regulatory approvals. His practice also includes conducting internal investigations, making voluntary disclosures and representing clients in enforcement proceedings before law enforcement officials and regulators.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Marco practiced at another large international law firm. Before practicing law, Mr. Marco served as a management consultant, where he advised senior U.S. government leaders on strategy and implementation of new defense and national security policies and programs.

Additionally, Mr. Marco serves in the U.S. Army Reserve as a judge advocate within the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, where he has completed multiple active-duty tours, served in a variety of positions and earned numerous awards and commendations.
